Benefits of Coaching

Benefits of Coaching
How many coaches do you know who have graduated from coaching school and still have not had their first paid coaching session? Statistics indicate that most coaches do not build a coaching business that is a sustainable full time occupation. If you want to be a full time coach and have a super charged coaching business you have to take action.
Coach
That’s right, I said coach. One of the main reasons coaches don’t have a coaching business is because they don’t have enough experience to have confidence in their own coaching. So coach! Coach people for a low rate and office, in coffee shop do whatever it takes just get enough coaching experience to have true confidence in your ability to serve others through coaching. Some of the people you coach at a discount will have such a great experience that they will continue coaching at a higher rate and tell others about you and the benefits of coaching.
Network
People cannot coach with you until they know who you are and how you can help them. Join several network groups in your community and look for power team partners. Visit many groups in your city to get your name and face known. You may not decide to join many of the groups but you may find individuals who have a similar target market. Become a resource to these people by referring people to them and ask them to do the same for you. Meet with these power team members to devise marketing tactics that can work to promote both businesses.
Speak
Speaking is the fastest and easiest way for you to let many people know who you are and what you can do for them. When you speak in front of an audience, it gives you instant credibility as an expert. As a speaker, you have a wonderful opportunity to teach by using a workshop format for speaking. Make sure that the audience learns and receives value when you speak. This is not an opportunity to advertise for thirty minutes or an hour. Good speakers leave the audience feeling that they gained value and they would like more.
Notice that all of these ideas have a consistent theme of getting in front of people and letting them know whom you are and how you can serve them. If doing these things makes you uncomfortable then you probably, need to do them more. The more you coach, network, and speak the better communicator you will become. So get out there and coach!
