Mistake 1: Waiting To Start Marketing
Many coaches are waiting for something to happen before they start looking for clients. They wait for certification, for getting their web site done, for lots of other things.
Instead of waiting, start marketing now! That way you will start getting clients sooner.
Mistake 2: Not Marketing To The Right People
If you are starting to market, then you must find your target market right now! Many coaches don’t have a target market, so they market to everyone, and don’t get any clients as a result.
Instead of marketing to everyone, make sure to find your target market. Your target market are people who want, need and can afford your products and services.
Mistake 3: Not Marketing Enough
Many coaches think that doing one marketing thing, such as starting a blog, submitting one article to an article directory, or joining a social networking web site is enough to start getting clients.
That is not true. Marketing is not a one-time action; rather it is a continuous process. When you market on a regular basis, you get clients on a regular basis!
Life Coaching Advice Needed…Serious only please!?
I need help. I’ve been quite bummed out for a long time. I’m in need of direction here. I have these credentials and for a good number of years, I feel “immobilized” and don’t know where to begin. I’m 40.
I do know that I want to help people. I do expos once a year and that’s about it….I don’t get any business from it though.
I also do a radio show and also get zero business from it.
I see other people in my field and they appear to be successful so I’m quite puzzled.
Credentials:
Reiki Healing Master
Certified Spiritual Consultant (DD, Doctorate in Philosophy/Metaphysics,
Certified Hypnotherapist
There are a few others as well, but they don’t require certification. However they are in the Metaphysical sector.
It has been years now, so If anyone could please offer any ideas or clarity for me, I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi- You have so much going for you- it may just be a matter of doing some self-reflection to see if there is a new way to frame what you are doing. You mention that you want Life Coaching advice, which I’d be glad to help you with, and I find its almost impossible to work out strategies for what you’re dealing with only in email, but given what you’ve said here, I must say that the first thing that popped into my mind is the possibility of harnessing all the knowledge and experience you have into a Life Coaching practice focused on mind/body awareness and the application of Reiki and Hypnotherapy in a Coaching practice.
