Career Coach Certification

Coaching a group of young cheerleaders can be a rewarding and fun experience. Teaching kids cheerleading stunts and cheers, and then helping them improve enough to perform in competition is a very proud feeling for any coach. But it’s a big responsibility and requires commitment and training to be successful and respected by your cheerleaders. Many cheerleading coaches are former cheerleaders who have aged out of competition or college cheer but want to continue to participate in this exciting sport. There are many ways you can become a cheerleading coach and there are many first time coaches without any background in cheerleading. Regardless of your cheerleading experience, it’s a good idea to become active within cheerleading communities online to build a network and get tips.

There are many resources for cheerleading coaches available particularly online at free sites like Weplay.com where they have hundreds of free skills & drills and tips for coaching cheerleading. You should also try to take advantage of some of the camps and conventions offered. The more you know, the more you’ll be able to teach your cheer squad. These programs typically focus on safety and you can never know enough about how to keep kids safe while still having fun and learning the proper techniques of cheerleading and dance.

What do u think about the COACHIng practice? Coaching vs. THERAPY?

really want to start getting into the coaching field, particularly relationship coaching, and get my certification. I am very intuitive and have a true knack for consulting, dealing with people and feelings, problem solving and solution-finding,etc. But my only qualm is that I dont want people to think ‘ oh, she just didnt want to go thru all the extra schooling to be a therapist ‘ or think that it is not a credible or legitimate practice or something. What do u think of people who are coaches as a career? what do you think of coaching versus therapy? pros, cons? would you rather see a coach or a therapist? would you hire a coach? what do you think the underlying values of a coach are vs a therapist? Its kind of true that I dont want to spend the next 4 yrs in school, i just want to start my carer now!but I also dont want2 regret it.therapists, do u like ur job?do I get to do any analyzing at all w/ clients as a coach?

Good question-

I could understand the stigma (they need more education) to help people with problems- however life isn’t about the smartest most qualified people- it’s about people who get results. I much rather go to a coach that will tell me what I’m doing wrong and the solution to get it corrected. Versus a therapists will “help” patients “discover” and come up with their own “solutions”. After years of trial and error- they may get out of the situation- perhaps…

Listen to Tony Robbins- he has a great CD about this specifically-

Sign me up for a coach versus a therapist any day!

Best of luck in your endeavors!

Are you secretly coaching, but not getting paid for it?
