Why do some people say Kobe have leadership?
I surely don’t see any leadership!
D-Wade gave Lamar Odom and Caron Butler career years, Kobe gave them jack. Gilbert Arenas took Butler to the All-Stars. Kobe took no one to the all-stars. Lebron James is making a star from a third round draft pick. Kobe isn’t helping his teammates breakout into stardom. Heck, Kobe doesn’t even who his teammates are!
Kobe is not a team player according to Phil Jackson, Shaquille O’Neal, Robert Horry, Smush Parker, Karl Malone, Gary Payton. When you have all these people saying you’re not a team player, that’s LEADERSHIP?!?
Heck, even in FIBA, Kobe was the only player hogging the ball. And Kobe is getting credit for Jason Kidd’s leadership? Jason Kidd is the field general!
So where is the leadership abilities coming from? Feuding with teammates, coaches, and management?
P.S. Kobe’s defense… hello, anyone can guard Leandro Barbosa! How’s Kobe’s defense on Arenas and James in the regular season? Kobe’s defense on Wade in Christmas?
The Suns were a bunch of nobodies before Nash. 29-53 record, and those players are good, you say?
And Tim Duncan took a 19 win San Antonio to the playoffs, Duncan inherited a good team you say?
Dwayne Wade without Shaq still made conference semifinals. Dwayne is only good because of Shaq, you say?
Dirk has Terry and Howard. How they in their first seasons? THEY SUCKED! Dirk had to make them great.
What has Kobe done in 3 years? Nothing!
Swap out Nash for Kobe, the Lakers win 50 and the Suns will miss the playoffs. Guaranteed.
BTW, in the last 3 seasons, Kobe missed 23 games, and the Lakers won 15 of them. Odom missed 46 and the Laker won 17. Who’s the leader of the team now?

You think you know it all? ALL the guys at FIBA proudly credited Kobe with being a great leader. True he wasn’t before, but who cares?? Also, Kobe lost 20 lbs. this off-season (hence AFTER the regular season) and worked specifically on Defense, as we saw vs. Barbosa. Wake up, Kobe hater. He’d take you to school and make you cry. And no, “anyone” can not guard Barbosa. So you don’t like him, wah wah wah, get over it. He’s not perfect, he’s not a role model, and no one ever said he was suppose to be. You only WISH you had his skills.
kobes teammates are really bad
we all kno the players around him would be 8th string players on most of the other teams in the west
no one can really know his personality and behavior with his teammates unlesss they are one of his teammates
even if he’s not a leader in the locker room
we know that he can take a team on his shoulders and almost single handedly win
i don’t think it really matters how he acts towards others on and off the court
the name of the game is to win at all costs

the fact is kobe puts the group of players he has in the best situation to win every night.. call it ball hoggin or not
