How do I get a personal coach for gymnastics? I’m a guy and I’m fourteen. Next year I want to join a club. Would one of the coaches at the club have to be my personal coach? Also, how much do they cost? The thing is I want to apply to be an Academic All-American through USA Gymnastics, but I need a personal coach in order to do so. Could someone explain the application in depth to me, because I think I’m confused?

Well wherever you live, if you have more than one local gym then i`d look into multiple gym prices for private lessons. At my gym anybody can get a private lesson for about $10-15 for like a 1 1/2 – 2+ hr private class with a coach. You could go take private lessons at one gym and join a team at another gym, that`s no problem. Prices vary from state to state and also if the gym is known very well such as Parkettes, it will be higher priced. I`m in Indiana so yep that`s the prices around here.
